about

Sometimes an individuals personality or skills are equated with the visual appearance of others.

lyrics

Riding ranges in a western sky
Envisioning myself as a boss
I was startled by an observer's eye
That claimed I looked like Hoss

Category claimed, now defined
Put me on a shelf it's classification time

Bending notes in a blues rock band
As I tried to play my best
A drunken fan pointed with his hand
While calling me Leslie West

Later years bought harmonica sounds
I played my best to become renowned
But the real show stopper
Was when a fellow claimed I resembled john popper
