Moon Over Borders

by Mark Buerschaper

/

about

When distances may seem great and at times, overwhelming, it helps to find something in common to bring a sense of togetherness.

lyrics

The sun fades into the winter sky
Pink and blue clouds bring on the night
While it has become clear that your gone

I know you had to leave Tennessee
For the fields of the New York green
So for a year we are going to have to be strong

Being together for so many years,
It now feels strange
I manage the situations and complications
But I'm not doing well with the change

I miss the things we used to do
Even the lame t.v. shows I watched with you
The ghost story tonight is just being here

Even the housework is being done
In a twisted way it's almost fun
Because that way I can pretend your here

As I watch the evening stars
I feel that the Big Apple is not that far
Even it seems like we both are marooned

So don't be sad you 'll be home soon
You might feel better if you hum this tune
Because were both under the light of tonight's moon.

The day pass. by fairly well, the job is on my mind
Our relationship is undermined and redefined while I feel totally resigned.

The album features the full gamut of his style which runs from introspective folk to novelty and alternative indie genres. Much of the commentary is about perceived social norms. ... more
