Models & Mannequins

about

Election time is upon us. Lately it's been sickening. Pandering media, mud slinging candidates and the news media that tries to shove them down our throat.

lyrics

A morning's cup of coffee
Enjoyment is now broken
As the rhetoric of politics
Is now angrily spoken

Models and mannequins dance upon the screen
Dragging names through the mud
Proclaiming the American dream

Show the fake smile
Display a little leg
Plead your party's case
Even if you just about beg

We swallow, it's our duty
Believe what we wish to hear
Thinking that our lives will change
At election time this year

So tell me what to think
Steer me on how to vote
I'll be the bicycle wheel
I'll be one of the spokes

The album features the full gamut of his style which runs from introspective folk to novelty and alternative indie genres. Much of the commentary is about perceived social norms. ... more
