"Demagouge"

by Mark Buerschaper

/

about

A fable about an orange colored racist president.

lyrics

The demagogue came into town one day
Bringing hope to those under duress
Many thought that he wore a toupee
While slipping into minds, like a hand under a dress

The demagogue

Building walls was his rally cry
Orange blotches framed his dead fish eyes
The tiny hands related to the tiny minds
Democracy was ripe to be undermined, by the demagogue

The demagogue

Drain the swamp was his best line yet
The results were disproven by his cabinet
A toddler in speech, a toddler in action
Prone to govern the nation by, lame distractions

People of color Red, White and Blue
Knew just what they needed to do
By the dawn's early light
The time came to go and join to fight the demagogue

The demagogue

Divide and conquer had been done throughout time
Maybe it was our turn in history's line
Heads may turn towards financial plans
The same heads bury themselves in the sand, for the demagouge

The demagouge

The album features the full gamut of his style which runs from introspective folk to novelty and alternative indie genres. Much of the commentary is about perceived social norms. ... more
